The Northarlington Animal is pleased to offer boarding for our veterinary patients only. In addition to cats and dogs (under 40 pounds), we are happy to offer boarding services for birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, mice and gerbils.
In order to provide all the pets in our care with the healthiest environment possible, we require that all boarding animals be up-to-date on the following vaccines:
Dogs | Cats |
Rabies | Rabies |
Bordetella | PRC (Panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis & calicivirus) |
DA2PP (Distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza & parvovirus) |
|
Canine Influenza |
Please note that we require dogs to receive the bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine every 6 months. This policy is recommended by both the American Veterinary Medical Association and The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.
- To avoid upset tummies, please plan on bringing your pet’s own food with you. Otherwise, we will feed our “in-house” food, Hill’s Science Diet. Additionally, please bring your pet’s medications with you. We will provide both bedding and food/water bowls for your pet, so there is no need to bring these items.
- If you would like to have your pet groomed while they are here, please speak with our client services staff or with our Patient Care Coordinator. Although the groomers typically book up well in advance, we will make every effort to schedule a grooming session.
- We have a limited number of cages and runs, so we advise our clients to call and make their pet’s reservations as soon as possible. Space is especially limited around the holidays and during the summer.
